Hamm Autoworks · Vancouver, WA
Who We AreOur Story & Our People
A shop built by someone who spent 20 years learning the trade from the ground up — and opened his own to do it right.
Built From the Ground Up — By Someone Who Earned It
Hamm Autoworks didn't start as a business plan. It started with a kid in high school who loved cars and had the drive to turn that passion into a career. Brandon Hamm spent two decades learning the trade at every level — student, technician, service manager — before opening the doors to his own shop in Vancouver in 2015. Every decision made at Hamm Autoworks traces back to that foundation: real experience, earned the hard way.
Brandon enrolled in the Automotive Program at Clark County Skills Center while still in high school — getting hands-on training in the trade before most people knew what they wanted to do with their lives.
Brandon completed the automotive program and graduated — walking away with technical training, industry knowledge, and a clear direction for what came next.
Brandon continued his education through Ford's competitive Automotive Student Service Educational Training (ASSET) program at Mt. Hood Community College — a manufacturer-partnered curriculum combining college coursework with dealership training. Not everyone gets in. Brandon finished it.
Brandon spent nearly a decade in the Vancouver automotive scene — first as a mechanic turning wrenches, then moving into service writing and management. He learned the business from every angle: what good repair work looks like, what honest communication with customers feels like, and what was missing from too many shops he'd seen.
Armed with over a decade of hands-on experience, Brandon opened Hamm Autoworks in Vancouver, WA. The goal was simple: build the kind of shop he'd always wanted to work at — ASE-certified, honest, and focused on doing right by every customer.
Brandon Hamm
Brandon didn't stumble into the automotive industry — he chose it deliberately at 16 years old, and never looked back. His path from a high school shop class to running his own shop is a straight line built on consistent effort and genuine expertise.
The Ford ASSET program at Mt. Hood is one of the more rigorous paths into the trade. It's a manufacturer-sponsored curriculum that pairs college-level automotive coursework with real dealership work experience — and finishing it means you understand vehicles at a level most technicians never reach.
After graduation, Brandon spent years working in Vancouver — first diagnosing and repairing vehicles himself, then stepping into service management roles where he learned what it takes to run an operation that customers actually trust. He saw shops that cut corners, gave vague estimates, and treated customers like an inconvenience. He decided to build something different.
"We started Hamm Autoworks because we believed Vancouver deserved a shop that treated people with honesty and respect — where the work was done right, explained clearly, and backed up completely."
— Brandon Hamm, FounderToday, Hamm Autoworks holds a 4.9-star rating on CarFax with 153 verified reviews and was named a CarFax Top-Rated Service Center in 2025. That's not an accident — it's the direct result of a decade of doing things the way Brandon set out to do them from day one.
The Principles We Work By
These aren't marketing words — they're the standards Brandon built the shop on and the ones every technician and service team member is held to.
Honest Diagnostics
We tell you what's actually wrong with your vehicle — not what generates the biggest invoice. If something doesn't need fixing yet, we'll tell you that too.
Done Right the First Time
ASE-certified technicians, quality parts, and a commitment to accuracy. We don't rush work and we don't cut corners — because you shouldn't have to come back for the same problem.
Clear Communication
You'll always know what we found, what we recommend, and what it costs — before any work begins. No surprise invoices. No jargon.
Community First
We're a Vancouver shop serving Vancouver families and businesses. Our reputation is built one honest repair at a time, and we take that seriously.
